time periods.
Points of Interest buttons display historical
and aerial photographs allowing a user to drill down and discover
a long-ago abandoned amusement park, a former lake and ruins
of an abandoned mine and railroad.
The Pequonnock River Valley State
Park is a favorite spot for mountain bikers and hikers.
With permission granted to publish copyrighted historical photos,
maps and writings from both the Connecticut State Library
Digital Archives and the Town of Trumbull Historical
Society, the map--and accompanying photo galleries--enable
a unique historical overview of the area.
