Corporate Offsite Events - JPMorgan Intranet
A reoccurring series of globally-accessed corporate intranet sites for learning about and registering for various corporate offsite events. Each event featured a customized design. |
- Responsible for design [navigation framework, color palette, graphics, form design, etc.]
- Subsequent database logic for log-on page password and registration forms handed off to IT
|
|
- Disseminate
details of offsite event
to select participants
[time and place, directions, accommodations]
- Enable
online registration
|
| |
Successful
implemention of online registration (nestled within a visually-appealing
and informative web framework) has been very well received by all corporate
executives who have attended the events and registered through the site |

Business Research Center (BRC) - JPMorgan Intranet
A major corporate portal for accessing business information used by bankers spanning
the globe in the process of formulating multi-million dollar deals. |
| |
As project
manager for this major corporate website's redesign, I was responsible
for the overall page layout, menu logic [and implementation]. Once the
framework was built, I created all the CSS used to enhance the content
presentation.
I advised,
consulted and/or directed IT, the BRC business group and our design staff
regarding requestor form layout, banner montages and additional graphic
enhancement. |
I approached the reorganization
from an information architect's viewpoint of functionality Careful thought was given to the need for uniformity and simplicity in navigation.
My redesign was conceptualized based on corporate web guidelines and discussions
with a core group from BRC. |
- Consistency
in menu choices and placement of key landmarks [icons, colors, page
headers, etc.] helped anchor the navigation logic for the user.
- Generous
use of CSS for texts, color blocks and page subdivision enabled to users
to locate and assimilate content quicker.
|
|
| |
This is a
major portal for accessing business information used by bankers spanning
the globe in the process of formulating multi-million dollar deals. With
three regional subportals (North America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific) uniformity
and simplicity in navigation was essential. Feedback was been extremely
positive from not only the business group, but a large amount of investment
bankers. Site usage increased dramatically. |

Admin Info Exchange (AIE) - JPMorgan Intranet
A globally-accessed corporate intranet site for organizing quick access to a large array of administrative information. |
|
| |
As project
manager for this corporate website's design, I was responsible for the
overall look & feel, including the page layout & menu logic as
well as the graphics and color palette. Once the framework and core graphics
were created, CSS was added to enhance the content presentation.
I advised,
consulted and/or directed the AIE advisory team on (1) the navigation
framework logic and (2) the step-by-step process of the creating all the
elements that make up the design. |
|
The challenge of the project
was to make the site as colorful and "playful" as possible while
keeping it within the corporate template (top banner and footer). |
- Consistency
in placement and use of key landmarks [icons, colors, page headers,
etc.] helped anchor the navigation logic for the user
- Keeping
the bulk of the content "above the scroll" and generous use
of whitespace kept the design simple and intuitive to navigate
- Popup
windows were utilized where page content and/or graphics & color
became too "dense" for placement in default content area
|
|
| |
Feedback
was extremely positive -- the colorful and "playful"
design approach proved to be a big hit with users -- site usage blossomed.
Due to the creation of this centralized online "launching pad,"
corporate costs and time needed for admin info retrieval have decreased
dramatically.
I received
a corporate Service Star for this project--not only for the design and
development work involved but, as important--for the consistent guidance
I gave to the AIE team to ensure their content was provided in a timely
manner and deadlines would be met. |

Relationship Exchange (RX) - JPMorgan Intranet
A globally-accessed corporate intranet site for disseminating important information for corporate relationship management teams. |
|
| |
As project
manager for this corporate website's redesign, I was responsible for the
overall page layout, menu logic [and implementation]. Once the framework
was built, I created CSS to enhance the content presentation.
I advised,
consulted and/or directed the RX business group not only in the step-by-step
process of redesign, but also provided guidelines for maintaining the
site themselves. |
|
| |
My redesign
was conceptualized based on corporate web guidelines and discussions with
a core group from the RX team. I approached
the reorganization from an information architect's viewpoint of functionality.
Careful thought was given to the need for uniformity and simplicity in navigation. |
- Banner
design and overall layout was based on blending design elements from
the RX online application and corporate guidelines (color palette, etc.)
- Placement
of key landmarks [icons, colors, page headers, etc.] helped anchor the
navigation logic for the user.
|
|
| |
Feedback gathered from the
core RX user group indicates the team was extremely pleased with
the logic and aesthetics of the design and expect site usage will increase
dramatically. |
